The
Spanish AlphabetLet's learn how we can read things in Spanish by learning the Spanish alphabet and practicing pronouncing things in Spanish. The Spanish alphabet is very phonetic. Learn how the letters sound and you can pronounce about anything. Be sure to repeat and listen several times.
Remember that you can go back and practice the alphabet any time you need to, and you should be encouraged to do just that. It will help you to become a very good Spanish speaker! One nice thing about the vowel sounds in Spanish is that they are very consistent and make only one sound. We all learn a "rhyme" to learn the vowels in English. Do you remember it? (A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes Y) Young Mexican children also learn a little rhyme to remember the vowels and the sounds they make in Spanish.
